This website was created by my father, Peter E.M. Botham (1936-2015).
The biography of his father, Charles Lucas Botham, was one of the last of Dad's many many projects, and one that he was very happy to have completed.
The biography of his great grandfather, William Henry Collison, was a great passion for Dad, and a project that he worked on for over 40 years. He researched WH Collison's life extensively, traveling to Ireland, England, Ottawa, and around British Columbia, sifting through church records, microfiche archives, and other records to gather as much information as possible on the archdeacon. He amassed a large number of books on related topics, such as BC history, coastal First Nations history and life, the history of the Anglican Church in Canada, and many others. Unfortunately, this work was not completed.
I hope that his website proves interesting, useful, and perhaps inspiring to others.
